The show was a hit for her portraying Judy Kramer on Fox's 2005 Point Pleasant series and Marcy in the Dawson's Creek series. She was for three years Marina Cooper in the soap opera Guiding Light a role which resulted in her receiving an Soap Opera Digest Awards nomination in 2003 for the award of Outstanding newcomer. From 2007 until 2008 Dollar starred as Cindy Thomas on the ABC TV series Women's Murder Club. In 2012, she was in the NBC program pilot Happy Valley but it was not picked-up.
